Napoli!

Hi guys!!
Your camping?! Ahhh jealous! But guess what....I am preaching the gospel to people in Italy...saving some souls! So....even though I miss camping, I think I have the better end of the deal! Sorry :)
Tell granny that I got her letter! Her kitchen looks so good! I can't wait to see it! Also I am really excited that Robert is getting his endowments! I still haven't even talked to him as a member! So it just seems so weird to think that he is going through the temple! When are they getting sealed?? The same weekend??

So this week! (also I am going to have to make a short email this week, we don't have much time, so I will just give you the main stuff!)
I finally got around to taking a good picture with Sorella Rost.

We went and saw V___ and J___, and we taught the plan of salvation. It went so well! Afterwards J___ said a beautiful prayer! I love African prayers, it is such a special thing for them. Afterward she told us how she is very grateful for the time that we spend to leave everything and come here to teach her about "the good word of God". She really does want to change and have more faith! She really is progressing towards baptism, but she wants to wait until her husband gets back from Germany in December.

M___ is just as cute as ever! We bought her a thumb drive that we could download general conference onto, and we were trying to teach her how to use it! Oh it was so precious! She wants to learn how SO bad....but just has the hardest time really figuring it out! She loves reading the book of Mormon with us and she loves the prophets! So cute! Also this weekend in Napoli (oh ya...we made it to Napoli BTW!) And they have this new convert that is in his late 70's! So I have hope for our little M___! She can do it!

N___ and C____ are doing sooo good!  We went and saw them again this week. They just melt my little heart.

We also have this friend here who is a street photographer! And of course we have become pretty good friends! He is going through some rough things in his life right now, divorce and money problems, and he just isn't choosing the right things! We keep trying to tell him that the gospel will improve his life! But he is too "cool" for that. So I came up with a brilliant idea! I have ALWAYS wished that I could somehow document my mission in pictures. But it is just impossible with all of the stuff we do...and for the lack of equipment. But....I thought about our good friend who is a street photographer! And maybe if he were to be following us around "taking pictures" and seeing us in action, that maybe his heart would be softened. So I told him it was my dream to have pictures of my mission....and he was so excited about it!! And he is going to do it! And I am really really excited! Also here in Italy we do lots of baptims at the beach, and he is relly excited to come and take pictures at a baptism. Ah! I can't wait!

So it all worked out for us to come to Napoli! But because the conference was on Monday, President didn't want us traveling on Sunday, so we had to come Saturday! And we aren't leaving until tomorrow because we decided to do our Pday here....at Pompeii! Fun right?! Except it has been quite the journey! We are so exhausted! But it has been so cool! I love doing finding on transportation and we have run into so many amazing people who are ready for the gospel! I will tell you my favorite story...

So the elders brought big suitcases to put all of their material in (at zone conference we get to order things like Books of Mormon, pamphlets, videos ect) So I asked the anziano if I could put my bag will all of my clothes in the suitcase. And them being the nice elders happily aggreed! When we got to Napoli, we had to travel 40 minutes to the sister's house, and the elders had to go another 40 minutes in the other direction.... and yes I bet you have already guessed what happened! I forgot my bag in the suitcase! With all of my clothes and everything for the whole weekend! We were underground on the metro and we didn't have service, so we turned back around and got back to the main station and called the Anziani, and again, being the amazing guys that they are, came back and brought me my bag! So....fast forward and we are back on the metro! And I hear English! And so I ask these boys where they are from....they were from England. We started small chatting, and he looked at our tag and said "Are you guys Mormon! I have never met a Mormon!" And started asking us TONS of questions! And good ones! Not the typical "So I hear you guys have lots of wives". By the end of the conversation he was saying how he needed to go back to church! I didn't get to get his number because he had to get off. But I really felt like maybe I forgot my bag because we needed to meet those boys on that later metro ride! It was super cool!

Our district.

We have had lots of other cool experiences...but I will just have to wait and tell you in a few months. Speaking of...I got my death papers. yuck. And today in zone conferene I cried while we were singing the mission hymn....I'm such a baby.

Last cool thing! We got to go to church here in Napoli. And there is an American base here, so about half of the members are American! Including the ward mission leader. Who is a boss! He invited all of the missionaries over for dinner. And instead of us giving the spiritual thought, he gave the spiritual thought! About a chapter in the sciptures that a part of my patriarchal blessing quotes. And he taught us about this...and it literally blew my mind! And I learned so much! I really feel like I was there to hear all of the things that he had to teach. Also he challenged us to ask our Dad's a question.... So Dad, I have a question for you! I need you to read Alma 13 and I want to know what it means to you to be a high priest. What are the duties and the role of a high priest? Thank you! :)

Also I got to eat the famous Napoli pizza. At first I didn't really understand what the big hype was about....but man, it sure did live up to its standards! SO GOOD!!!!! I am going to be such a big pizza snob when I get home, I'm so sorry.

My Nap town pizza!

This week I have been thinking a lot about the verse in John 14:26 that says  "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance."

In Preach my Gospel it teaches us how every single child of God was taught the gospel before they came to the earth. They already know all of this! We just need to help them REMEMBER. And the way we do that is by teaching with the spirit.

But that also applies to us in our search for gospel truths. We already know it all. We just need to remember it! And the more we strive in our lives to feel the companionship of the Holy Ghost, the more we will learn and remember.

THIS CHURCH IS TRUE!!!! I know it! I wish I could project the message of the restoration on the sky so everyone could see! It is true. And it has changed my life and I continue to see how it changes everyone's life who sincerely asks to know if it is true. So if you don't know. "Ask and ye shall recieve, knock and it shall be opened unto you."

I love you all so so so much!
Have a good week!
