This is Italy

Hello Family!!
First of all. Shout out to my main buddies Trayser, Courtney, and Sarah! THANKS FOR THE LETTERS! You guys are awesome! And Trayser....about your question....I should use them more than I do ;) But don't tell mom. But I am curious why?? Also I only got one of the packages. THANK YOU!

Everything will work out with the Visa! I am also secretly hoping the same thing. That would be so great if I could see him before he left! If we could all do a temple session together! Ah!!! Seeing Trayser good....travel plans....bad!

{Editor's Note:  Kaeli will be flying in on Tues. evening Oct. 28th.  We have been running into delays on Trayser's Visa paperwork... If his Visa comes through on time, he will fly out for the Spain MTC on Monday Oct. 27th.  If his Visa doesn't come through on time, he will report to the Provo MTC and will likely fly out on Wed. morning Oct. 29th.  If he goes to Spain, they will miss each other by one day.  If he goes to Provo, they will get to see each other for one night before he leaves.  We won't know until two weeks before he leaves if he will go straight to Spain or if he will have to go to Provo.}

This week has been great! Really...it has been good. Our work really started to pick up! We had 3 new investigators this week!

1. C____: is 70 years old. No teeth. Dyes her hair, but you can see her grey roots. Doesn't wear a bra. And says HALLELUJAH every 2 minutes. She is so funny! She saw the Anziani sitting on a bench and walked up to them and said "you guys are Mormon! I want to know more about your cult!" They tried to explain that we aren't a cult and started talking about Jesus Christ. C_____ loves Jesus Christ. And she told us about how everyone in the world is wicked and needs Jesus. So of course she loved the fact that we are missionaries and she took ALL of the Anziani's pass along cards so that she could give them away. So fast forward...and we are meeting with her. She told us that she gave away all of the pass along cards and that she wants more, she took our whole supply. Then we asked in specific if she had anyone that wants to meet with us, and she immediately called a friend, Mauro. She made us talk with him and set up an appointment then and there.  She said that she went to our church in Australia a long time ago and that she knew that this church is the true church. And so I asked her if she was a member and if she had been baptized and she said "no....but I want to be!" va bene...we can talk about that next time!

Saturday we met with her and her friend Mauro again and he seems really great! The Anziani are going to teach him, but I will keep you guys updated.

2-3. A couple names F____ and A____. We met them doing our mostra...the Are you Happy? And they answered YES! And...long story short we exchanged phone numbers and met up with them this week. Come to find out that they are homeless. They live in a homeless shelter and they literally have nothing. She has a son that lives with his grandparents and she gets to see him only once a week. But they are so happy. So happy. And they are humble. And when someone is humble they can feel the spirit. And when someone feels the influence of the Holy Ghost, they are open enough to understand. We taught them the restoration and they understood! And it was such a beautiful lesson. They have already been reading the Book of Mormon. So awesome! They were supposed to come to church yesterday...but they didn't show up :(

P____....is avoiding us again...it might be time to give her a little break and pick it back up when she is more committed.

G____ is in Korea, loving it! She goes to English Course there and she even went to church and FHE.

Fun things that happened this week:

Monday for pday we went and had a BBQ on the beach with a lady from English course. She organized the whole thing! Her name is Maribel and she is Columbian. She works here in Italy taking care of an old man named Franco. We ate...relaxed...put our feet in the water! We made some lanterns! And at the end we did a spiritual thought. It was so much fun! So...you know how I am that butterfly that just runs around and talks to everyone...the whole night I was...being me. And in the end I went and sat next to Franco. And he said "I have been watching you all night, and you have impressed me. You have been talking to everyone! You are happy and you have this light! I want you to remember something. Remember that an old man in Italy told you....to never settle. You need to find a man who is just as special as you. You deserve nothing less!" Doesn't that just melt your heart? He then told me that when I come back to Italy I could come and stay at his house. I asked him if he would still remember me and he said "I will never forget you". He came to English course the next day and then invited us to go and get pizza with him. Seriously....I love these old Italian men.

Franco

Friday was zone conference! The Anziani didn't come because they got food poisoning from some bad almond milk. But the conference was fun! It was in Siracusa. I have lots of friends in the zone this transfer and it was so fun seeing all of them. Also like more than half of the sisters in our mission are going home in the next few transfers....so all of us are trunky together. But it has been cool working with all of these amazing missionaries and seeing everybody's growth. I would say a big part of the reason why I am serving in the Italy Rome mission is because of the missionaries. They have all made an impact on my life and they are some of my very best friends.

We have also been encouraged to start doing finding with our Geneology. They gave us these cool books where we can write down stories and put pictures of our family. I know you guys are really busy! But if you could email me the story about how they bought the ranch....a story about one of my great grandparents... and if you could scan and send me that one picture of me and grandma and grandpa Childers. I think I can find pictures of everyone else on Family Search. I've already been trying it out and it is working so well! They LOVE seeing what America is like and they love that Dad is a real cowboy! I want to try to find stories about some of my ancestors that I can relate to them. So that I can be like...."this is a story about my great grandma....and because she did this, it helps me understand....." ect.

Also I figured out that the Wiltbank name comes from Sweden!

Seriously Family History is so cool! Everyone needs to go and check it out!
Love you guys!!!
