Snails!

Famiglia Mia!

I got Trayser's graduation announcement in the mail! (no letter?) And I just loved it! I was so proud and showed everyone in my district my cute little brother! And I have it sitting on my desk and just look at it everyday! I miss you guys so much! And it is so crazy for me to think how much has changed! And how much will keep changing! But I really think that being far apart has made us all closer :) And I am so excited for Trayser to start off on his journey! I was thinking about what kind of advice to give. And there is so much I want to say and things that you could do to prepare! But I think the most important thing for you to do, is to appreciate your time at home. Spend time with the family. Take a few horse rides on the ranch. Hang out with your friends. Listen to your music! HAVE FUN! And just enjoy your time at home. The second thing is to...evaluate your relationship with the Lord. Study your scriptures like you have never studied before. Not that you need to spend 2 hours everyday studying. But when you study....study well. Become familiar with Preach my Gospel. And you will be ready :) Am I allowed to put my guess in?? I think you are going to GERMANY! (and you will learn to love chocolate!)

Dad hasn't told me anything about this friend!!!! Oh my goodness! What a special experience! Make sure to take lots of pictures! :) About skype....we haven't organized ourselves as missionaries yet...but when would be best for you guys? Sounds like this week was crazy! I am glad you guys got through it though!

Big red box = mail! If you can smoosh it in, you can send it! Yay for Italian postage!

As for here in Rome...this week was great!

For Pday on Tuesday we went out to centro with the Anziani. And we were out by the basilica di san pietro...and we ran into 2 other districts! And it was so funny! It was practically our whole zone that showed up! (against the rules to do pday in large groups) But we took a picture to remember how ironic it was that in the whole city of Rome, we all happened to be in one place at one time! haha

Also....its tourist season here in Italy. And there was this big group of Asians that were touring around Rome...and they saw me and Sorella Kippen and got really excited and started blabbering in their Asian language. And we thought...maybe they are members?? They walked away and then the a few minutes later came up to us blabbering and started pointing at our hair. They were so amazed by our blonde hair! And they wanted to take a picture with us! hahahahaha so funny!

Wednesday we did DDM and then we did a scambio. I was with Sorella Furlonich. She is cute! And we have the same....personality? I guess you could say...so it was really fun being with her and chatting with her!

Thursday we had the senior couple come and do house inspections! Yay! We have this issue where we have LOTS of bugs. Yuck! Gotta love those old Italian houses. But they left us a chocolate bar to share...so that made everything all better :)

We did a lesson with J___! And we asked her to pray about a baptismal date. 24 May. She is really coming along great and I hope that she will get that confirmation :) This girl is like super attached to me....And she came to church on Sunday and we were trying to get her to make friendships with a member. So for sacrament meeting we left her with a sorella that she knew. And we were across the chapel. Afterwards she came up to us. "Why did you abandon me?!" haha

Friday morning we did planning. And it was a quick planning session. We only have 1 investigator to plan for. But one thing that we decided we could do better at, was daily planning and planning out every hour. And so we took lots of time doing that. Hoping that it would show the Lord that we really want to be put in the path of those that are ready for the gospel. And it was really cool because right after planning we had a free afternoon and we decided we wanted to stop by a less actives house. And nobody had been able to contact this family. But we decided to try and give them a call. And on the second ring she answered and said "Sisterss!!! I have missed you! When can we meet?!" Oh ya! The Lord loves us! And M___ :) The lesson went great!

We did finding all day Saturday. It was raining, so there weren't many people out, but we hung up some posters for English course and put something in a less active's mail box.

My best friend body guards!

We have been doing LOTS of finding these days...and I just don't understand what the problem is.... Elder Ballard gave us all a challenge when he came to have 10 meaningful conversations a day. And that is something that I have really been trying hard to do this week and the results were so beautiful! Per esempio...There was one lady that I started talking to on the bus. She actually told us that I offered her English course a few weeks ago. This time we started talking about the gospel. It was sooooo beautiful. I taught her the restoration on the bus and then we got off at the same bus stop and Sorella Kippen and I continued to teach her about the gospel. We just really connected with M___ T____ and the spirit was so strong. We gave her a book of Mormon and then I asked if we could get her phone number....and she said no. That if it is meant to be, that God would put us in each others paths again. And again and again. We have great gospel conversations....but it always ends up.... vi chiamo io!

But I actually am not too down on myself this week. I studied pg 10 of Preach my Gospel about what it really means to be a successful missionary. And I can honestly say that I am trying my hardest, and that is all that counts.

This week we are going to do a special fast. Prayers from home would be greatly appreciated :)

Sunday we finished watching General Conference (so excited to just sit down and re read all of the talks!) And then we went and did some finding!

Thank you guys for all of the support you give me. I really really appreciate it. I will try not to worry so much. (try is the key word) I love you!! Have a bellissima settimana! :)
Vi voglio tanto bene!
