Viscido (creepy) <<<< my districts favorite word (MTC - Week 2)

Ciao Famiglia!
One more week down at the MTC! We're almost to our half way mark! It's so crazy to think that in less than a month I will be inviting others to come unto Christ...in Italia! Speaking Italiano! So you can only imagine how much I've been freaking out!

On Monday we did TRC, teaching a member, and for some reason I was so stressed out about it. I've already taught like 10 lessons and I did just fine in all of those, but I was scared out of my mind for this member lesson. My colega and I walk into the room and my mind just goes blank. I couldn't understand a word the member was saying and I had no clue what to say back. My colega said the prayer and I just burst into tears! I couldn't do it! I couldn't go to Italy in a month and understand what they were saying and I definitely couldn't go speak to them!

So I walk out of the room, my colega follows me and my teacher, Fratello Carington gave me a little pep talk. We said a little prayer and then walked back in. With tears still in my eyes, this lady looks at me with tears in hers and gives me a big hug. She didn't have to say anything, she said it all with her eyes. So we sit down (awkwardly not knowing what to do next) and I open my Italian Book of Mormon. I have nothing marked in it and I can't read anything! I opened up to Mosiah 4:6-7 and said "leggere?" read? Not even knowing what it said, we read it. We felt the spirit. I bore my testimony in broken Italian...
"Io so che il Libro di Mormon e vero. So che Dio vive. Ti amo Gesu Cristo".
"I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know God lives. I love Jesus Christ".

This simple, hard to understand testimony brought tears to our eyes. Although it was simple it was heart felt and it brought this amazing power into the room.

I'm not teaching in Italian, I'm teaching in the language of the spirit. This language is understood by any one of God's children. It is spoken from the heart of one and heard in the heart of another. God's message can be spoken in all languages! (He really likes Italian though :)

So, although I want to know perfect Italian 15 days after I get here, it's not possible. But I do have a testimony of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. I have been sent to these people by the Lord, and my testimony of his vangelo (gospel) is my weapon that will penetrate hearts.

The girls in her District.
There are so many things I want to share with you guys!! The MTC gets special privelages, and on Sunday our Relief Society lesson was by Janice Kapp Perry!!! She wrote a new sister missionary song, similar to Army of Helaman, but to the tune of "As Sisters in Zion". It was so.amazing. Not a dry eye in the crowd! So look for it!! It should be coming out soon.

Yesterday we had Russell M Nelson and his wife speak to us. Again, so. amazing.

I've had so many humbling experiences this week. They are all so hard, but so so worth it! The whole reason we are even here on Earth is to learn and be happy. And I've experienced a multitude of both while here at the MTC.

Boy is this church true! It's written everywhere! In Everything! Even in the air we breath :)

I love you guys so much and I think about you everyday!! Thank you for the package! You must be my mom, because you totally read my mind! Going from good spring water to yucky city water has been rough, so thanks for the drink packets! Everyone loved Colten's drawings, thanks dude! You're such a great artist! Keep going with it:). I loved all the letters and the Dear Elders I got this week! Keep them coming! They are the best part of the day! And I'll try and get everyone's written and in the mail by the end of the week! Oh I saw Keldon!! Finally!! I didn't have my camera, but he did so I'm having him email it to me! It was so good to sit down and talk to him!! I also see Elder Mann like 5 times a day! haha we have the same schedule. It's kinda weird haha. But I love seeing all these familiar faces!! Makes me feel at home:)
Sorella Wiltbank & Elder Mann
(High school friends.  Elder Mann went in a week after Sorella Wiltbank.  He's going to Peru.)

Everyone have a molto bene day!! :D
p.s these computers don't have spell check, so sorry if all my letters have stinky spelling!

Awkward quote of the week. In my lesson this week I said "Joseph Smith deceives the Book of Mormon through the power of God" super duper awkward...

So we have two investigators right now, and in the opening prayer of a lesson, I prayed that we were grateful to be here with Walter....We were teaching Franceso. :o I'll get there....hopefully in 4 weeks!

Viscido is my districts favorite word -pronounced vi-shee-to . It means creepy. We use it for everything! "this dinner is molto molto viscido!!!"

"For all you Pretty Little Liars fans....My lounging outfit make me feel like A.
Notice the mini Book of Mormon is my weapon of choice."
